Dr. Maggie Cruickshank

Dr. Cruickshank is a Professor/Honorary Clinical Consultant of Gynaecologyat the University of Aberdeen. She was past President of the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP). She currently co-chair the Education and Training Committee of the International Federation of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (IFCPC). She has an interest in medical education and clinical training and has lead on the assessment of colposcopy training for BSCCP and IFCPC. She has a programme of research in pre-invasive disease of the lower genital tract, clinical research trials and molecular studies. The focus of this work relates to Human Papillomavirus infection (HPV). She is chief investigator for a CSO Health Services Programme Grant to investigate the impact of HPV immunisation on cervical screening and lower genital tract disease. This includes modelling future cervical screening in post-immunisation era.
