Dr. Peter Dull provides technical and strategic guidance on clinical development to the foundation’s program strategy teams (e.g., pneumonia, enteric and diarrhea diseases, etc.) and external partners. In addition, he leads the foundation’s vaccine development activities for HPV vaccines, including efforts with reduced dose schedules and supporting developing country vaccine manufacturers. He joined the foundation in 2014 after 10 years at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics where he was the Clinical Franchise Head for Meningitis and Sepsis Vaccines. During that time, he led the clinical development and global licensure for a quadrivalent meningococcal glycoconjugate vaccine (Menveo®; MenACWY-CRM) as well as a protein-based serogroup B meningococcal vaccine (Bexsero®; 4CMenB). His work also included early clinical development of Group B strep glycoconjugate and Staph aureus vaccines. Prior to joining Novartis, he was an Epidemic Intelligence Service officer in the Meningitis and Special Pathogens Branch at the US Centers for Disease Control and completed subspecialty training in infectious diseases at Emory University.
